Minecraft PC: Making the End portal

On Friday I got Minecraft for the computer. I already made it to the End. The End is a different realm. All you have to do is make a portal. I will tell you how to make it:

step one: materials: 17 obsidian blocks, 12 eyes of Ender, and flint and steel.

step 2: Put 5 obsidian blocks in a row next to each other.

step 3: put 4 obsidian blocks up from one of the of the obsidian blocks on the ground.

step 4: do that to the other side.

step 5: put 3 obsidian blocks between the top of the poles.

step 6: take off the corners.

this is what it should look like by now

step 7: add eyes of Ender to every block.

Step 8: light it on fire.

Step 9:it shoud get a purple energy wall inside of it. if not check each direction again.
